Facts

1) CARD has been working in Azerbaijan since September the 1st 2001

2 )During 2009 the vocational school trained 147 students

3) More than 10 students have gained employment as a direct result of studying at the vocational training school

4) In 2009 we served 3744 meals to weak patients in the Psychiatric hospital in Genja

5) During 2009 CARD supported over 350 vulnerable, babies, children, students and adults in our projects through, feeding, renovations, health and education initiatives.

6) CARD provided more than 15,000 nappies to the Babies Home during 2009.

7) In October 2008 over 30 of our Vocational Centre students collected over half a tonne of abandoned rubbish from scenic picnic sites in the Goy Gol mountain region outside of Genja as part of an Environmental Awareness project.

8) We provided over 1350 hours of activities through therapy classes for the patients at the Psychiatric Hospital in 2009

9) Since working at the Psychiatric Hospital we have helped transport more than 70 well patients to their homes in the regions who otherwise would still be there.

10) Our Vocational Centre's 5th class - Cooking started on 3rd February 2009. This supplements our other 4 classes - English, Computers, Carpet Making and Carpentry which have been running since 2006.
